U type bridge erecting machine is a professional design for U type bridge machine required for erection of city rail transit construction beam. As a kind of through bridge structure section, the U girder has the advantages of noise reduction effect ,low building height, high-usage space of the section,etc. Because of U type girder for thin-walled opening structure,the traditional bridge rack beam cannot be applied directly, so the girder installation can only be achieved by traversing the trolley. Therefore, U type bridge erection crane manufactured by Shenghua Heavy group adopts the technological process of “front trolley drag the girder, second trolley lift the crane, two trolleys synchronously walking and dropping down the girder” . Simple, safe and stable operation.

Bridge erection crane can be also called girder launcher, launching gantry or bridge building machine.

The girder launcher produced by our company has a conventional tonnage of 30-900t and span of 0-60 meters, but also can be non-standard design at the request of customer.   

Main structures and functions  

The main structure of the bridge erection crane is connected by pins and flanges, for convenience of transportation and on-site installation. See the structure in the general assembly diagram. By structure, the crane can be divided into main beam, lifting trolley, front legs, middle legs, anti-bracket, back legs, walking track, hydraulic and electrical parts, which constitute a complete structural system.

 (1) The main girder is in truss-type structure, welded by section steel and steel plate, with advantages of light structure, rigid and reliable, strong wind resistance capacity, convenient for installation, beautiful look. For transportation concern, main beam of each row is divided into several segment, not more than 12m each, connected by pin roll.

The distance between the middle of the main beam is 6.5-7m, so the global reliability is better and can meet the requirements in work conditions of small curve and skew bridge.

 (2) The passing hole and the launching beam with slow speed, has the advantage of small impact, good stability, and more secure.

 (3) The trolley lifting, in the form of self-made national standard trolley, without outsourced winch, has big brake torque and good brake performance. The drum is equipped with a rope groove to prevent chaos rope. The baffle on both sides of the drum is extra high and thick, to increase the safety factor. The safety performance is 1.5 times higher than the hoist type car.

 (4) The walking motor, from a well-known domestic supplier, has current overload protection that allows self-protection in case of unstable voltage without damage motor and delivers good brake results.

 (5) Transverse rail is long, which can fulfill the requirements for erection of double amplitude bridge.

 (6) Speed of passing through holes and bridge erection is fast. The construction record is achieved: two span erection and two span pass in one day.

 (7) The bridge erection crane production standard is one level higher than national standard:

Lifting wire rope safety factor ≥ 5

Structural strength calculation safety factor ≥1.5

Mechanical transmission parts safety factor ≥ 1.5

Over-hole anti-overturning safety factor ≥ 1.5

 (8) Side beam is installed in place at one time, which is safe and reliable.

 (9) Girder launcher is two-way, for which front and back legs are interchangeable. Do not have to turn the reverse beam.

 (10) Main beam has safety pathway, which is very rare.

 (11) Erection for small curve beam (curve radius 100m) and big slope beam (7%) can be customized. There is successful reference. Common bridge erection crane can only meet 300m curve radius and 5% slope.
